NOTICE: Due to some non-repairable technical difficulties with the VAFC enlistment forms on the 50megs.com server (50megs fails to deliver submissions in a reasonable amount of time, and sometimes not at all), all who have submitted enlistment applications and have not received a response from VAFC are asked to resubmit here - this site works as designed. VAFC HQ thanks you for your patience in this matter.

So you wish to join the VAFC?  NO military experience is needed, only a desire to learn about the U.S. Air Force, meet new people, and just have fun playing your simulation against missions created by us to reflect our "simulated world" and the conflicts that arise.  I hope to see you on the team soon!

To join follow these steps:

1.  Review the VAFC Handbook.   Ensure that you are willing to comply with the official polices of the VAFC.

2.  Decide on a community to join.   There are currently 2 communities we offer:

bullet

The V-USAF/ACC ACTIVE DUTY Community: all Active Duty personnel are required 2 cycles per month: 1st - 15th; 16th - 30th (31st). All members are required to exert a minimum level of participation on a regular basis.  A minimum of one mission a cycle is the standard.

bullet

First stop after enlistment is VAFC's Air Force Academy for basic indoctrination of VMC protocols.

bullet

Next will be basic fighter training at one of MDS designated training centers. Or for non-fighter ACC pilots, next will be Introductory Flight Training (IFT) at Randolf AFB, flying the T-6 Texan II.

bullet

Non-fighter ACC pilots go onto  Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (JSUPT) at one of several designated training centers.

bullet

Finally you will be assigned to an operational wing.

The V-USAF/AMC ACTIVE DUTY Community: all Active Duty personnel are required 2 cycles per month: 1st - 15th; 16th - 30th (31st). All members are required to exert a minimum level of participation on a regular basis.  A minimum of one mission a cycle is the standard.

3.  Download and install ICQ.  ICQ is a free chat utility software that we use to keep in touch with our VAFC members.   You can download it here from the ICQ download site.   You will receive a unique identification number (UIN), write it down as you'll need it later on.

4.  Subscribe to the mailing lists as described in your Cadet training program.   Once you have completed the registration process, you will find yourself as a VAFC Cadet at the Virtual Air Force Academy for your basic indoctrination and training.

5.  Then submit the following enlistment form:
